Clay Xavier
Award-Winning Media Composer, Music Producer, and Multi-Instrumentalist
Probably the most whimsical person in whatever room he’s in, Seth "Clay" Xavier Marceau is a Webby & 3x Signal award-winning media composer, music producer, & woodwind specialist based in Oakland, CA.
He cut his teeth in the music industry as a producer by co-founding the indie hip-hop label OakTownSoul, where he quarterbacked sync catalog placements with brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, BET+, and DC Comics. Pivoting from his position as a young label executive, Clay Xavier is devoting himself to composing music for media, and is passionate about creating immersive and unforgettable soundtracks.
Learning adaptive music design through a variety of game jams he quickly latched on to audio programming and got his first break designing and implementing a soundtrack and SFX system for the 2024 mobile demo of Five Mics: The Hip Hop Trading Card Game. He has appeared as a collaborator on Josh Lim’s Dino Punk OST and on 4 albums with Emperia Music Group & Universal Production Music’s Gamescape Audio adaptive music library. You can also see him playing horns as a house band member for The Game Audio Pavilion VGM Jams.
In his free time when he’s not on tour or practicing an obscure wind instrument, Clay can be found training his Pokémon to be the very best like no one else ever was, yapping with strangers, or grabbing a bite to eat at his favorite Ethiopian restaurant.
